HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Elna G. Yarbrough Harris, 66, died at Select Services Hospital on May 17, 2008. Her husband of 15 years, Louis Harris preceded her in death. Elna was the daughter of the late Otto and Ruby Grimstead of Augusta. After a long physical struggle, she is at peace in Heaven. Elna is a former Richmond County School Bus Driver of 22 years. She was known to many student passengers as "Fat Ma Harris", a name that has been used by her many friends through the years. She was a member of the Hephzibah Agriculture Club, and was know as an active member of the Hephzibah community. She was the owner of All South Lawn Care. Elna was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Augusta. The family will receive friends Monday, May 19, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Hephzibah. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from the Chapel of DeLoach Funeral Home, 2546 Hwy 88 Hephzibah, GA 30815 with Reverend Rob Watkins officiating. Interment services will follow at Hephzibah Vance Cemetery, Hephzibah. Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Timmy James, Heath Cliatt, Richard Marcano, and John Adams. She is survived by her former husband, Jimmy Yarbrough of Augusta; four sons; Jamie Yarbrough (Patti) of Sandersville, Mark Yarbrough (Janie) of Hephzibah, Jason Yarbrough of Hephzibah, and David Yarbrough (Susan) of Grovetown, one daughter; Anna Ligon (Chad) of Hephzibah, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters; Betty Grimstead of Augusta and Lois G. Davis of Augusta, and one brother; Dale E. Grimstead of Augusta. There is also a large loving family of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
