AUGUSTA, Ga. - Rev. Jack M. Corry, beloved husband of 45 yrs. to the late Marjory Blum Corry of 45 yrs., Jr. entered into rest Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Lake Park Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Riley and Rev. Gosey officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Corry was the founding pastor of Lake Park Baptist Church for 33 years. After retiring, he continued serving in different churches. He and his wife spent three years in South Dakota where he pastored in Hereford, and for a number of years in Clayton, Georgia at Wolffork Baptist Church. They continued to serve together as he was interim pastor in several churches throughout Georgia. Survivors include one son, Jack Corry and wife, Debbie of Byron, GA, five daughters, Marcia Corry Bailey and husband, Jim of Harlem, GA, Judy Corry Sprouse and husband, Odell of Evans, GA, Susan Corry Russell and husband, Allen of Augusta, GA, Patti Corry Lechner and husband, Don of Grovetown, GA, Betty Corry Lively and husband, Tony of Appling, GA, one sister, Nell Corry Burgeson of East Brunswick, NJ, 22 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 20, 2008 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Platt's Funeral Home Belair Rd. and on Wednesday May 21, 2008 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Lake Park Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.
