BELVEDERE, S.C. - Mr. Willie T. Simpkins, 65, of Celeste Avenue, entered into rest May 13, 2008 at University Hospital Mr. Simpkins, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Burton Simpkins; two daughters, Teresa S. (Daniel) Cross, Jacksonville, N.C. and Alicia Simpkins (Tony) Williams, Augusta; three brothers, J.P. (Margaret) Simpkins, Jr., Johnston, S.C., Henry (Juanita) Simpkins, Roosevelt (Linda) Simpkins, Belvedere, S.C.; seven sisters, Cathy (Mose) Butler, Carrie (Melvin) Thomas, Columbus, Ohio, Shirley (George) Jenkins, Corine (Daniel) Curry, North Augusta, Josephine Prescott, Aiken, Gloria J. Simpkins, Belvedere, S.C., and Genevieve Simpkins, Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends my call at the residence or after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis T.
