AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Mary Lizzie Washington entered into rest Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church, Blythe, Ga., with Rev. Stephen Bratton officiating. Burial will be in Doyle Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. She was a member of Doyle Grove Baptist Church and a retiree of St. Joseph Hospital after 26 years. Survivors are three daughters, Marjorie (Jeffrey) Reddix, Hephzibah, Ga., Valerie Washington, Orlando, Fla., Renee Martin, Hephzibah, Ga.; two sons, Henry Martin, Jr., Augusta, Christopher Washington, Hephzibah, Ga.; adopted daughter, Constance Allen; 18 grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; three sisters, Eula Grays, Orlando, Fla., Mattie (Kenneth) Griffin, West Hempstead, N.Y., Diane Dillard, Augusta; brother, George (Ella) Washington, Keysville, Ga.; stepsister, Jewel Bass, Augusta; aunts; godson; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
