AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Linda N. Harbeson, 64, of Maryland Ave., entered into rest May 14, 2008, at her residence, surrounded by her children, following a courageous battle with heart disease. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Saturday, May 17, at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Grover Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Ms. Harbeson, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was the daughter of the late E. L. and Frances B. Nicholson. Ms. Harbeson was a native of Charleston, SC and a 1961 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. She worked for twenty eight years as a Medical Receptionist and Office Manager for Dr. Blanchard and Dr. Finney at Urology Associates. Ms. Harbeson was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Deidre Harbeson Creech of Augusta; her son, David Lamar Harbeson, Sr. (Vivian Vaiden) also of Augusta; a brother, Robert Padgett of Hempstead, TX; an Uncle, Ellis (Margie) Brown of Walterboro, SC; her grandchildren, Corlie E. Creech, Kaleigh M. Pemberton and David L. Harbeson, Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Rivers Olivia-Grace Josey.
