AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. George A. Merriweather, of Gordon Street, entered into rest Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. He was a native of Richmond County, Ga. and was a former employee of Babcox & Wilcox. Survivors are one son, George (Tomikia) Merriweather, III, Augusta; sister, Alberta Clark, Newark, Del.; two grandsons, Cornelious Moody, Daniel Brown, Augusta; eight nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
