MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest at his residence in Martinez, Ga. on May 8, 2008, Mr. Gordon Odell "Dink" Robinson, Jr., husband of Mrs. Mary Ann Robinson. Dink was the son of Mr. Gordon Robinson, Sr. and Betty Ramey Robinson. He was born in Augusta, Ga. and lived here all of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. He was a former Richmond County Sheriff's Dept. Deputy, a long time member of Green Meadows Golf Course, member of the Augusta Sertoma Club and active in Senior Friends. He played golf, traveled, cooked, and spent time with his family. Survivors: wife, Mary Ann Sawyer Robinson, Martinez; two sons, "Robby" Gordon Robinson, III and wife Dana, Joseph Pate and wife Chandra Neal; two daughters, Pam Robinson Coward, Linda Ann Couch and husband Warren; one brother, Michael Robinson and wife Betty; grandchildren, Corey Coggins, Trey Cowart, Haley Cowart, Jessica Wall, Kristi Whitman, Kati Whitman; great-grandchildren, Alexis Pate, Christian Holland; nieces and nephews, Kristine Edwards, Michael Robinson, Jr. and wife Cindy, Timothy Robinson, Brittany Edwards; great nieces and nephews, Kylie Robinson, Logan Robinson, Lucas Robinson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Rev. Barry Daniel officiating. Dink will lie in state at the chapel one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Joseph Foundation/Trinity Hospice, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903.
