AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lillie Mae Brooks, 76, beloved wife, sister and mother, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 8th after an extended illness. Mrs. Brooks was an employee of Dukes Restaurant for many years and later managed and retired from Public Storage Warehouse. She is survived by her husband, Loran Brooks, Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Louise Powell, Augusta, Ga. and Mabel McDonald, Thomaston, Georgia; one brother, Ralph Parker, Ft. Smith, Arkansas; two daughters, Judy McWhorter, Jacksonville, Florida and Sheila Burke, Augusta, Georgia; one son; Michael Wayne Price, Augusta, Georgia, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Maddox McGahee. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
