SALUDA, S.C. - Mrs. Dorothy Smith Rodgers Atkinson, 84, wife of the late James Atkinson, died Monday May 5, 2008. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Eastview Cemetery in Edgefield. Mrs. Atkinson was a native of Saluda County, a homemaker and a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. Survivors include one Daughter-in-law, Willette Rodgers, Johnston, special nephew, Ricky R. (Joye) Smith, Saluda, special niece, Debra (Faust) Smith, Gaston, and other nieces and nephews. Her companion Joe Koon, Clinton, and special friend Marie Edward, Saluda. She was predeceased by a son Ronnie J. Rodgers.
