I guess it's time for Cain to cut and paste some more of his tired old Bush Bashing. More of his opinions which will be stated as if they are facts.......mark my words.
What a mess President Bush has put this country in! There's the Iraq war, the failure to kill Osama bin Laden, high gas prices and a failing economy.
Bush has not been our greatest president, but is he really as bad as some say? I think not. The Democrats supported the attack on Saddam Hussein and Iraq, but when we failed to find the abundance of suspected weapons of mass destruction, it became Bush's war. How about bin Laden? Don't blame Bill Clinton, for he had only two opportunities more than Bush to nail him, but didn't.
Certainly Bush is to blame for the ridiculous rise in gas prices. Do you reckon it happened after Democrats took control of Congress? They voted down the drilling of new oil wells in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and offshore of the western United States (which would have helped make us less dependent on foreign oil) to help Al Gore save the world.
I hear that if Hillary Clinton becomes president, she will raise taxes on millionaires and billionaires to pay for Medicare, etc., for the less fortunate. While the idea sounds admirable, it is simply socialism, one step away from communism. I agree that executives in big companies make too much in wages and retirement benefits compared to their workers, but taxing them even more (they already pay about 50 percent) will cause them to follow suit with other companies who felt the tax burden was already unfairly too high, so they escaped to China or elsewhere.
And talking about robbing Peter to pay Paul -- turning corn, an important food crop, into ethanol, a gas for engines, is absolutely senseless, especially with all that oil under our feet. Sad to say, the extreme environmentalists have warped our minds.

Yes, I blame George W. Bush. I blame the Bush/Cheney crime & slime regime. I blame the radical right for its militarism & greed. I blame the religious right for the theology that attempts to justify both militarism (fascism) & conspicuous consumption in the name of a merciful & suffering Christ. But I also blame the American Establishment including corporate America. I blame the U.S. farm bill for contributing to the world food crisis. I blame big machine, big money politicians including the Democrat Party leadership for selling out the base of their support which brought them to the majority in the 2006 elections. Democrats are getting ready to give George Warmonger Bush another $178 Billion for more bloody & counterproductive war in 2008 & 2009. I blame stupid, arrogant, snide, greedy, self-consumed, apathetic American consumers for their disinterest & their arrogant, aggressive ignorance. United States has a day of reckoning coming. The letter writer despite his incoherent reasoning senses that something is dreadfully wrong. We can't fight our way out of our dilemma. Frittering American blood & treasure away in Iraq solves none of our pressing structural problems. DUMBING DOWN of America goes hand in hand with IMPOVERISHING America. Pride goes before the fall. There is plenty of blame to go around. We must start solving problems and cease causing problems.
J.F. Rodgers, I'll 10-4 that. Good letter!
Mr. Rodgers, Common sense at its best.
Democrats never want to hear the other side of the story. They just want to government to take care of them from cradle to the grave.
There's certainly plenty of blame to go around and nothing seems to ever go "perfectly". The part I hate is that not only do we have to defend ourselves from our obvious enemies, but also from our "friends" who think only of political gain and how to con the uninformed.
Cain wants to blame everyone and certainly the American system of Capitalism which has given rise to the greatest country on the face of the earth in a short 230 years. Cain blames everything American, but does not acknowledge that the country has been down before, and has always picked herself up off the floor to be even greater afterwards. Our country seems to cower to the minority athiests, anti religion zealots, eco terrorists in the name of environmentalism, and others who have driven our country to the immoral state we are in. It seems as if the politicians are in power for just that, their own power, and do not seem to want to solve problems, unless they can take money from the rich and give it to the poor, classic solcialistic redistribution of wealth. Like the LTE states, many democrats are on record voting for the invasion of Iraq, we are there now, and we must help the Iraqis to rebuild after 30 years under a brutal dictator. Cain should get his credentials and go help, instead of blaming everyone, and start solving problems as he states, he should go personally and help, like he has stated previously that he would.
RJH is emblematic of the Dumbing Down and Arrogant, angry-ing-up of America mentioned above. Notice how in his rightwing fascist newspeak that environmentalists are now equated with "eco terrorists". Also note the RJH is "serving" in Iraq as a U.S. miltary officer. No wonder United States is losing tactically as well as strategically, legally, and morally. RJH also LIES when he says that "Democrats are on record voting for the invasion of Iraq." Congress authorized the President to use force in Iraq to
"strengthen The President's hand at the diplomatic table." Bush promised that war would be the last resort. Bush lied. People died.
There is too much Bull s--- in this country. Everyone hates Bush. It's not Bush, It's Washington period. Remember 1861? It just might happen again. People are really tired of being raped by Washington and Oil companies.
Cain's post really makes the point about the dumbing down of America, eh! Let's not even mention "incoherent reasoning". I blame you JRHCain you are an American so YOU are guilty of all the crimes you mentioned. You are a stupid, arrogant, snide, greedy, self-consumed, apathetic American consumer since you live in America (at least you admit it). Do you deny you are an American and live in America? You are wrong because you can fight your way out of any situation. I know. I have. You don't because you are an uneducated loser-by your own admission you dropped out of college (of course later you became a NURSE-because you weren't intelligent enough to be a physician). You can always tell the losers because they always like to play the blame game. Given your status I don't know if your opinion carries any weight-no,no I'm sure it doesn't. I suggest moving to Europe, China, or some other country that would make you happy since you don't care for America. I can't wait for a retort.
Yes, the Democrats are responsible for the increase in oil prices. What bull.
I think it's the greenies that are responsible for America's lack of self sufficiency with oil. It's just that the Democrats seem to give them the most support in restraining our country.
One man in this world is responsible for the high oil prices? Gas was that high in Europe in 1994 when we were there. I think it's more than just the policies of one President of the US in 2008.
I couldn't agree more. Why should Bush get all the blame? It also took Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld and thousands of appointed incompetents to screw this country up from hell to breakfast.
Gas prices are high because the Arabs charge a high price for the oil. Why can't the Dems vote to drill for our own oil to help the situation. Liberal enviromentalist, that's why. Why do we not build more generating plants like Ga Power has in Waynesboro.
I guess Cain has not read the news of the eco terrorists burning vehicles, burning houses, and destruction of logging equipment costing others millions of dollars. To make their point, they have to resort to destruction and "terrorism", what else would you call it Cain? They are so ignorant that they cannot make their point so they have to resort to "terrorism", if you do not call it that, then what is the term you would use Cain? And thanks for the accolades Cain, but I am home now, my service in Iraq is done. And yes, did you not see many many democrats saying that we must take care of Saddam and his WMD's? Many of those statements were made before Bush was in office, so dont say that Bush lied about it, the statements were made BEFORE he came into office. And yes, Congress voted to give the President the authority to use offensive measures in Iraq. And yes, Iraq DID ATTACK US, when they shoot at our planes when we are under the guise of enforcing the UN no fly zone, that is attacking us.
I believe it was a set up by Clinton. Clinton knew there was a problem but was too chicken to do anything. So he figures hmmm I'll ask Congress for a law for "regime change" in Iraq. Clinton wins favor and there is a U.S. law (which the prez takes an oath to uphold)to oust Saddam. Out Clinton and in the foolish Bush (thirsty for a little revenge for dear ole Dad, and then there is America's interest and need for oil). Of course Clinton was smart enough to know it was a quagmire and potential trap, and he knew Dubya was dumb enough to fall for it. Bush was busy making war plans and suddenly 9-11 how convenient to play into Iraq war plans. He was stupid to try and make that connection when he should have stated that I'm enforcing the law and it will be a strategic point to wage our war on terror (and anyone else who gets in the way) and lets take their oil. Dang I'd make him King if it worked, because we'd be rolliing in oil and could use it as a bargain chip with Russian and China. We need oil it is our friend. Watch the Russians and Chinese rape the land of oil why we twiddle our thumbs.
Is "from hell to breakfast" the same as "to hell in a hen basket"? I never heard that expression before!
Still waiting to find out where all that oil in Iraq that was supposed to pay for the war is going......
I think the author's acknowledgement that Bush has not been our greatest president is plain wrong. Bush has been a great president but has been hampered by a very poor supporting cast. A man of Bush's intelligence requires signficant support and he just didn't get good advice from his VP and other key cabinet members.
Oh fd1962 don't get your panties in a wad. I was just pickin and funnin on Cain. Since the fauxCain quite harassing him I don't want him to feel unloathed. Hee,hee, hee. Cain and I actually agree on many things but I just can't help pick on him as so many other posters. I'm sorry it is just harmless fun. I have also defended Cain. I attended a Medical School but never became a physican so there I'm a loser too. A friend of mine is a male nurse. Cain knows better than to take me seriously. He's not crazy or stupid!!
JF you are a simpleton. You are just spouting what you hear from Rush Limbaugh and the like. Go read some books. Go see the world. Study the facts. Drilling in the artic would take time and not be an instant relief, nor long term relief. More oil will not help until there are more refineries. Environmentalists may not have wanted them, but they are not to blame for why we do not have them. Environmentalists have little say when it comes to corporations growing. The government did not stop the gas companies from producing new refineries. An actual threat of a real alternative fuel would drive oil prices down, but like sythetic fuel, once oil prices go down, people stop working towards these solutions in anticipation of the next gas crisis. We just wait until we are hurting to try to come up with alternatives. Maybe we did fail to take out Bin Laden under Clinton...of course at that time he had not taken out the twin towers..so the priority was not the same. Neither Clinton nor Bush probably really wanted to kill him anyways, as he is close to the Saudi Royal Family, who is close with our government.
If we do not drill for our own oil and build more new nucular plants the price we are paying for energy today will considered cheap in a few years. Ethanol and biodiesel are not going to get the job done.
Oh geez, Bush had time to go after bin Laden, but ignored the advice of people in his own administration. Bush has done nothing regarding oil prices and I'll bet Mr. Rodgers was singing a different tune when gas prices skyrocketed during Carter's term. Halliburton has made millions off this invasion and still relocated to tax-free shores. Quit being a ditto-head.
justus4, nobody on this planet saw 9-11 coming, and it was because of the lovey-dovey hug the world demo philosophy....those bastards were and are our enemies and will be until the end of time and you , sir are an idiot of the first order.
cain, do yourself a favor, but choose a method that is quick and painless, i am sick to death of the both of you....a waste of good air.
my favorite is "from Hell to Maine and back".
Just feel the love here today.....
