AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Annie Reville Mundy 85, beloved wife of the late Mr. John O.(Cooter) Mundy, entered into rest on Sunday May 4, 2008 at Trinity Hospice of Augusta. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday May 6, 2008 at Blythe Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Richard Dendler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clifford Chancey, Ken Chancey, William Dozier, Charles Dozier, Gary Dozier and Charles Gay. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Seekers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Mundy was a native of Blythe, GA., but resided in Melbourne, FL. for a number of years and returned to Augusta 13 years ago. She was a member of Blythe Baptist Church for 77 years. A substitute teacher for many years, owner of Mundy's Grocery, and a postal clerk at the Blythe Post Office. Everyone who knew her, would agree that she was a true southern lady,a Steel Magnolia. Her sprits remained high and optimistic throughout her illness. There was never a compliant on her lips, but always a twinkle in her blue eyes. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Keaton and his entire staff at Augusta Oncology, as well as Trinity Hospice for the care they provided. Survivors include her daughter Charlotte (Robert) Fulmer, Augusta, GA.; daughter-in-law Suzanne Mundy, Houston, TX; seven grandchildren Deborah Anderson, Martinez, GA., Cherie (Joey) Kitchens, Grovetown, GA., Rene' Monfort, Augusta, GA.; Kristy (Fred) Mitchell, Guyton, GA.; Roy Mundy and Robyn Mundy, Houston, TX., John Mundy, East, TX ;six great-grandchildren Brittany Murray, Hannah and Abigail Kitchens, Avery Morgan, Trevor Mundy , and J.D. Mundy; numerous nieces and nephews , along with extended family of Florence Al. She was preceded in death by her parents William Henry Reville and Cora Mae Wren Reville, son John William (Bill) Mundy and sister Carey Farmer. The Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Monday evening at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta.
