NORTH CAROLINA - Entered into rest April 25, 2008 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held (today) Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Shiloh Baptist Church, 1243 Summer Street with Reverend J. L. Stokes officiating. Mr. Fred Michael Bogans was born July 25, 1955 in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a long time resident of Mount Gilead, North Carolina, but grew up in Augusta, Georgia. He was educated in the Richmond County public school system and graduated from Lucy C. Laney in 1974. He served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army for three years and after an honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Bogans served on the Augusta Police Department for several years. Survivors are three sons, Terrence Bogans, Newport News, VA, Travis Bogans, Augusta, and Ronald Bogans, Mt. Gilead, NC; one daughter, Tijuana Bogans, Atlanta, GA.; three nieces, Adrian Bogans, Bernadette Bogans, and Veronica Bogans; six grandchildren, Charles and Andrew Bogans, Newport News, VA, Treva and Trevor Bogans, Augusta, DiAmonte' Buoy of Atlanta, and Kamaya Bogans of Mt. Gilead, NC; four very special friends, Teresa (Rita) Becton, Augusta, Mariella Leake, Mt. Gilead, NC, Luther McDaniel, Jr., Atlanta, and Warren Simmons, Rockingham, NC and a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Sign the guestbook at
