AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Betty N. Ivey, 73, wife of the late Herman Ivey, of Collier Wood Way, entered into rest May 4, 2008, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Tuesday, May 6, at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Roger Bennett officiaitng. Interment will follow in the Passworth Cemetery. Mrs. Ivey, the daughter of the late William H. and Ruby Jowers Wingrove was a native of San Antonio, TX and had lived in Augusta for most of her life. She loved children and animals, was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith . Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Sue Ivey. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Connie and Melvin Lee of Dacula, GA, Wayne Ivey of Augusta, Dan and Kim Ivey of Augusta and Patricia and Donal Pilcher of Augusta; brother, William Wingrove of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
