AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ret. SSG Amos Griffin of McElmurray Drive entered into rest Friday, April 25, 2008 at the V.A. Medical Center, D.D. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Moore officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. He was a native of Harrisburg, PA; a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a retiree of the U.S. Army and U.S. Post Office and a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Rosa Griffin; step-children, Pamela(Boise) Davis, Augusta, James (Beverly) Brown, Columbus, Ohio, Michael (Stephanie) Brown, Grand Rapids Michigan, William (Karen) Brown, Chicago, IL; one sister, Naomi Griffin, Delaware; one brother, Fred Griffin, Delaware; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; devoted friend, Louise Walton, Augusta; other relatives and friends.
