GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Clifford Lawrence Guenther of Hagin Road in Grovetown died on Monday April 21, 2008 at his residence following several months of declining health. He was 70 years old. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, Augusta. Following the memorial service the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 9:00 p.m. Mr. Guenther was cremated and burial will be at a later date. Mr. Guenther was retired from Satcher Ford in Aiken. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr Guenther was preceded in death by his wife, Marylee Guenther; his daughter, Judith Guenther; his sister, Sybil West. Survivors are his wife, Connie Cruey Guenther of Grovetown; daughters, Karen Roach, Rhonda Clark, and Raquel Ashline; his son, Brian Guenther; step-children, Gregory Cruey, Edward Cruey, and Cynthia Guenther; his brothers, Thomas Guenther, Francis Guenther, and Michael Guenther; grandchildren, Cody, Natalie, Madalyn, Morgan, Hannah, Abigail, Matthew, Emily, and Lily.
