Why the low interest in lacrosse?

Lacrosse has the same amount of appeal as womens basketball. Be glad fringe sports get any support.

That is because lacrosse is a sissy sport and not a manly sport like football. Naw just kiddin. I would like to see all high school football banned for five years so other sports could grow. Football is so overrated and has lost a lot at being a sport-given cheating coaches and what not. In my day the sport was about building a better man nowadays it is about the building the sport and creating animals not men.

Nobody cares about lacrosse.

Lacrosse is harder to play and takes a heck of a lot more toughness and endurance than football.

Lacrosse is a great sport to play as it involves the toughness of football, the endurance of soccer, and the fine motor skills of catching and throwing (a la baseball). But it is also perceived as a rich prep school sport because of the cost of equipment. And the fact it comes from Yankeeland doesn't help it down south. Of course, not many Georgians can expect to meet admissions requirements for Johns Hopkins, Syracuse, UVa, or any of the other preeminent lacrosse powers to begin with, so it doesn't really matter anyway. Definitely more ACC than SEC!
