Arenas scored 24 points in the opener but apparently hurt his wrist in the fourth quarter while fouling LeBron James . Arenas already was slowed by a surgically repaired knee.
Arenas struggled Monday, shooting 2-for-10 and scoring only seven points in 24 minutes.
LAKERS: Coach Phil Jackson indicated the team doesn't expect injured center Andrew Bynum to make a serious contribution any time soon.
When asked if there was a risk of messing up team chemistry by playing 7-footers Bynum and Pau Gasol at the same time, Jackson replied: "I think without a doubt that Andrew would come off the bench and we would play him a little bit off the bench if there was any chance that he could come back and play again, but it's such a remote thing. We're not seriously thinking about it."
The 20-year-old Bynum averaged 13.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots before injuring his left knee Jan. 13. He hasn't been cleared for practice.
BUCKS: Signed Scott Skiles to a four-year deal and introduced him as the team's new coach.
Skiles takes over for Larry Krystkowiak , who was fired last week after a disappointing season.
The 44-year-old Skiles brings extensive NBA head coaching experience and a disciplinarian approach to Milwaukee -- something the Bucks didn't necessarily get from their two previous coaches, Krystkowiak and Terry Stotts .
And Skiles didn't back away from his reputation for being demanding of his players.
"I always feel like I'm supposed to apologize for that," Skiles said. "And I'm not sure that's the tact I want to take. Anybody that is going to come to work with enthusiasm, concentrate and play hard will never have a problem with me."
Skiles was fired by Chicago in December after making the playoffs in three of his first four seasons as the Bulls' head coach. Skiles also coached three seasons in Phoenix.
AWARD: San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili has won the NBA's Sixth Man award, given to the league's best reserve.
Ginobili led the Spurs in scoring, averaging a career-high 19.5 points with 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Ginobili came off the bench in 51 of the 74 games he played this season.
