AUGUSTA, Ga. - William Cantey Sprott, Jr., 65, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Augusta, GA surrounded by his family. Born April 2, 1943, in Kingstree, SC, he was the son of Grace Cherry Sprott and the late William Cantey Sprott, Sr., of Summerton, SC. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wofford College in 1965 with a Bachelor's Degree in both Math and English. He earned a Master's Degree in English from the University of Virginia, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Academic Fraternity. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served as an officer in Okinawa. He is survived by his mother, a brother, Jack C. Sprott, Sr., (Sherry) of Charleston, SC, a sister, Cherry Ann Muldrow (Eddie) of Chapin, SC, nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 24th at 11:00 a.m. in Manning Cemetery, Manning, SC, with the Rev. David Thurlow officiating. Pallbearers will be Jack C. Sprott, Jr., Morgan G. Sprott, Edward B. Muldrow IV, James M. Sprott, III, Trent E. Muldrow, H. B. Sprott, III, and Grace A. Muldrow. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home, Manning, SC. Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 500 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC 29201. Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory, 304 N.
