AIKEN, S.C. - Completed life's journey and entered into rest on Friday evening, April 18, 2008, Mr. Henry M. Cato, age 84, of Aiken, S. C., son of the late Nathan Purvis Cato and the late Minnie Laura Douglas Cato. He was survived by three brothers; Hastings W. (Sara) Cato of Batesburg, S. C., Benjamin F. (Carolyn) Cato and Albert R. (Patsy) both of Aiken, S. C., a sister; Annie Laura Ripley of Townsend, Tennessee; a special niece, Deborah Brown of Aiken, S. C. and a number of other nieces and nephews. He was born in Edgefield, S. C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. S. C. He was retired from S. C. Electric and Gas Company. Mr. Cato was a special man who dearly loved his family, and his love and caring ways, was the reason he had so many friends; yes, you could definitely say that he was a 'People Person', and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Langley, S. C. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends tonight, Sunday, April 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home. Memorials, in Mr. Cato's honor, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
