MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. Eugene John Waszak entered into rest Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his residence, husband of Mrs. Maria Castillo Waszak. Mr. Waszak was born in Buffalo, N.Y., was a retired U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War with 22 years of service, a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, member of H2U, and a member of the Woodman of the World. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Father David Koetter officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors. Other family members are one daughter, Gladys Dail and her husband Darrell of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Patricia Coronna, New York; six grandchildren, Shanna Rooney, Carlos (Diane) Waszak, Jr., Vickie Waszak, Ann Marie Waszak, Todd (Christal) Senn, Wesley (Morrie) Senn; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica Waszak, Chase Waszak, Jayna Senn, Stephanie Senn, Van Senn, Thane Tobio, Sara Grace Waszak; several nieces and nephews, John Waszak, Patsy Waszak, Lee Waszak, and Paul Waszak; their dear friends, John and Connie Aycox and their son, Kevin. Mr. Waszak was preceded in death by his son, Carlos Waszak; and his brother, Raymond Waszak. The family requests that contributions please be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813. The family will receive friends this Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, GA.
