LEXINGTON, S.C. - Entered into rest Wednesday, April 16th, 2008, Mr. Alvis W. 'Butch' Fail, Jr., 57, of Lexington, SC, husband of Mary Elizabeth Lamb Fail and son of the late Alvis W.'Tencie'and Sara Howard Fail. Born in and a resident of Aiken County, SC, until 2007, Butch was formerly a Chemical Operator with Columbia Nitrogen and later was a Bus Driver with Southern Connection Tours. He was a member of Life Springs Worship Center, Lexington, SC. He enjoyed traveling, flying and working on planes, fishing, cooking and was a former Little League Baseball Coach. Family members include children, Alvis W. 'Matt' Fail, III, (Kim) Darlington, SC and Kristen Palmer, (Steven) Sumter, SC; sisters, Libby Smith, (Charles) Bath, SC, Liz Toole, (Terry) Gloverville, SC and Nancy Stancel, (Roger) Graniteville, SC, and grandchildren, Joseph, Jeremy, and Jessica Palmer. At his request, Butch will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, April 20th , 2008, at 4 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor David Baines officiating. An additional service will be held Saturday, April 26TH, 2008, at 2 o'clock at Life Springs Worship Center, Lexington, SC. At the request of the family, if so desired, please make memorials in memory of Butch to the Palmetto Health Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
