AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James E. Clinton, Sr., of First Street, entered into rest Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church with Rev. William Blount officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a native of Jeff Davis County, Ga., a furniture repairman at J. B. Whites, and a member of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and Deacon. Survivors are his wife, Eula Clinton, Augusta; four sons, James (Rose) Clinton, Jr., Ronnie Vann, Atlanta, Ga., Victor (Nora) Clinton, Augusta, Napoleon (Shundra) Clinton, Conyers, Ga.; two daughters, Sandra (Clayton) Woods, Augusta, Marsha Hall, Baxley, Ga.; two sisters, Lou Etta Green, Augusta, Ga., Ella Mae Copeland, Savannah, Ga.; three brothers, Melvin (Janice) Clinton, Atlanta, Ga., Kenneth (Cora) Clinton, Calvin (Vera) Clinton, Hazelhurst, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
