NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ida Kay Covar, 85, of Fairfield Avenue, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest April 11, 2008, at the residence, will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father Tim Lijewski celebrant. Final Prayers and Commendation in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. Covar was a native of Saginaw, MI, having made North Augusta her home for the past fifty-nine years. She was a communicate of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from the Medical College of Georgia. Mrs. Covar was the wife of the late Mr. Abner L. Covar. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Drew Covar, Tybee Island, GA, David and Joanna Covar, Seneca, SC, Chris and Jean Covar, Edgefield and Joel and JoAnne Covar, North Augusta; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Emmett, Evans; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Covar, Jason Covar, Sarah Peeler, Bailey Peeler, Dannon Baker, Kathryn Goodman, Summer Covar and Abbie Covar; one great-grandchild, Olivia Goodman; four sisters, Elaine Wiesenmaier and Mary Ruth Byron both of Saginaw, MI, Joan Cribb, Tampa, FL and Rosemary Aldrich, Spring, TX. The Vigil Service of the deceased will be conducted Monday evening at 6 o'clock at the Posey Funeral Chapel followed by visitation until 8 o'clock.
