ATLANTA, Ga. - Albert Edwin "Eddie" Harelik, age 73, of Atlanta passed away on March 23, 2008. Eddie was born and raised in Augusta, GA, where he was very active in AZA, a Jewish youth organization, and in Atlanta, in Jewish community sports, including tennis, softball, and basketball. He attended the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and was an active member of the Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity. Eddie was an ardent sports fan including football, tennis and baseball, and especially enjoyed watching his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. A pharmacist in Atlanta for more than 45 years, "Dr. Eddie" owned and operated Barwick's Pharmacy, where he was especially caring and devoted to his customers. Following retirement, he worked for Walgreen's for five years. He was also a member of the United States Army Reserves. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Rochelle "Shelly" Harelik; daughter, Jennifer Nossal and husband Steven, Reston, VA; son, Scott Harelik, San Rafael, CA; mother, Yetta Harelik, Augusta; sister, Marian Harelik, Augusta; mother-in-law, Sylvia Kronmel, Lantana, FL; sister-in-law, Joan Dober and her husband Dr. Stanley Dober, Boynton Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Lenora Harelik, Springfield, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Mr. Harelik was preceded in death by his father, Sol Harelik and brother Melvin Harelik. Sign online guestbook at www.edressler.com .
