BURNETTOWN, SC - Entered into rest Wednesday, April 9TH, 2008, Mrs. Lois Smith 'NaNa' Garvin, 88, of Burnettown, SC, beloved wife of fifty-five years to the late Frank Garvin and daughter of the late Edgar and Viola Hatcher Smith. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she retired from Murray Distributing after forty years of service. She was a member of the Burnettown First Baptist Church, Burnettown, SC. 'NaNa' was an excellent cook, enjoyed planting flowers, and truly loved teaching children in Sunday School. Family members include children, Finley J. Garvin, (Patsy) Prosperity, SC, F.E. Garvin, Jr., (Judy) Greenwood, SC, and Karen G. Shealy, (Carlton) Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Brett Garvin, Jason Garvin, Bradley Garvin, Adraine Garvin, Chris Polk, Russell Polk, Michael Polk, Carl Shealy, and Carol Borders, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11TH, 2008, at 4 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with 'Na Na's' grandsons, Chris and Russell Polk officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be grandsons Brett Garvin, Jason Garvin, Bradley Garvin, and Michael Polk. The family has asked that memorials be made to the Annie Armstrong Offering, co the Aiken Baptist Association, P.O. Box 397, Graniteville, SC.
