BELVEDERE, S.C. - Mr. John Van Kendall, 53, of Fairview Avenue, entered into rest Monday, April 7, 2008 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2008 in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Meyer and Dr. Roy Head officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Kendall was a native of Augusta, Georgia and had made Belvedere his life-long home. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Belvedere and attended the Tri Development Work Shop. He is survived by his mother, Martha C. Kendall, Belvedere; two sisters, Cindy K. (Brock) Heron, Sr., Irmo, SC and Julie K. Plymale, Evans, GA; a nephew, Brock Heron, Jr.; a niece, Brantley Heron; three special friends, Clifford Hancock, Stephen Clarke and Scott Stone. Mr. Kendall was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Carter and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Kendall. Pallbearers will be Tim Carter, Steve Carter, Everett Gregory, Ricky Carter, Alex Alvanos and Ralph Courtney. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Tri-Development Center.
