AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lillie M. Nixon Bland, 66, of Poplar Street, entered into rest March 30, 2008 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Trowell officiating. Mrs. Bland, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served on the usher's ministry and choir ministry. Survivors include her husband, Roosevelt Bland; two daughters, Edna Loretta Dobbs and Debra Martin; a son, Leon Wright; two brothers, Teddie Lee Nixon and Freddie Lee (Barbara) Nixon; a host of other relatives and friends.
