AUGUSTA, Ga. - Myrtis Brady was born to the late Samuel and Annie Mae Williams on February 9, 1920 in Stapleton, Ga. She was married to Dock Brady, who preceded her in death. During her later years, she joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Missionary Board and sang with the Walkers Baptist Choir. Her survivors include two sons, Deacon Solomon (Johnnie Mae) Franklin, Samuel Franklin, both of Augusta; two sons-in-law, Porter Evans, Los Angeles, Calif., Walter Singleton, Brooklyn, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. from Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby L. Truitt, Pastor and Rev. Robert L. Williams officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until the hour of the service. Peoples Funeral Home, 723 Walton Way. (706) 724-1885.
