AIKEN, S.C. - Dea. Henry L. Robinson of Williamsburg Street entered into rest Friday, March 28, 2008 at his residence. He was born and educated in Aiken. At an early age he moved to New York and was drafted into the U.S. Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, he lived in New York for many years and retired as a Patrolman at the New York State Racing Association. He relocated back to his hometown in 1999 and has served as a Deacon of Montmorenci Missionary Baptist Church until his death. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Friendship Baptist Church on Richland Avenue with Rev. Timothy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Aiken Memorial Park. He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Rosell Banks Robinson and one son, Gregory of the home; his sisters, Gloria Holloway, Hempstead, N.Y. and Jeanette Greene of New Jersey; one brother, Elliott Smith, Aiken; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.
