A fitting resting place

The Rev. E.T. Martin, the pastor of Springfield Baptist Church, was laid to rest Tuesday in front of the church he led for 36 years. The 69-year-old died Thursday. Mayor Deke Copenhaver; Betty Anderson, of Way of Life Ministries International; the Rev. David Hunter, the pastor of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection; and the Rev. Enoch Ward Jr., the pastor of First Metropolitan Baptist Church; were among those who shared their memories of the Rev. Martin to a standing room-only crowd.
