Virginia Ingram Teague (AIKEN, S.C.)

AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Virginia Ingram Teague, 77, died Monday, March 31, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Grace Brethren Church. Reverends Steve Taylor, Ron Thompson and Don Soule will officiate. Interment will be held in Taylorsville, NC at a later date. A native of Taylorsville, NC, Mrs. Teague was a daughter of the late Mitchell and Laura Jane Mullen Ingram. She moved to Aiken in 1955, and spent most of her career teaching science at Kennedy Middle School. She was in the Suburban Garden Club, and an avid tennis player at Woodside Country Club and the Fermata Club. She was a graduate of the NC Women's College, and a member of Grace Brethren Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Raejean (Frank) Beattie, Georgetown, SC, Tavia (Dewain) McClain, Iron Station, NC; two sons, Mitchell Teague, Evergreen, CO, Wes (Elizabeth) Teague, Spanish Fort, AL; seven grandchildren; Carolyn DeFoore, Justin Teague, Brian Teague, Ashley Teague, Hayley Teague, Krystina Winans, Eva Winans; four sisters, Alice Mae Coulter, Newcastle, VA, Catharine Boyd Herring, Greenville, NC, Laura Jean Sewell, Wilmington, NC, Mary Isabel Payne, Greensboro, NC. In addition to her parents, her husband, Thomas Wade Teague, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Brethren Church Missions, 144 Talatha Church Road, Aiken, SC 29803, or the Candlelighter's Childhood Cancer Foundation, P.O.
