- Beginning today, parking prices at Augusta Regional Airport will return to $8 per 24-hour period for the short-term lot. The prices had been lowered temporarily to compensate customers for dealing with problems brought on by recent construction, officials said. A brief news item in Sunday's editions of The Augusta Chronicle did not fully explain the reason for the price change.

The Chronicle regrets the error.

I'd rater fly out of Atlanta and pay an extra $1 a day to save hundrands on the flight. i'f they make the parking free I think more people would be inclined to fly out of Augusta, But the nimrods in power just dont understand that concept.

I went to pick up my mom at the airport and the curb and signs say, "no parking" "passenger pickup/drop off only." I couldn't find a place to get her, so I asked the lady in the golfcart about it. She said the cars were going to get tickets-even if people were in them-and I should go to the short term lot. I did and paid 0.50-not a crime but turns out that I had the right to wait in my car at the curb. What a ripoff.

Isn't ATL parking like $14 a day... if you are gone for awhile Augusta's airport could be cheaper. The real hidden gem is Charlotte - same distance as ATL, similar ticket prices, $4 a day parking with shuttles that run on time! Plus the airport personnel are wonderfully polite!
