AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Robert Lee Lawson, Sr., of Hiram Road, entered into rest March 29, 2008 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Survivors are seven sons, Robert (Doris) Lawson, Jr., Union, S.C., Charles E. (Mary) Lawson, Sr., John (Annie Bell) Lawson, Roy (Eunriadean) Lawson, Henry Mack, Willie (Laura) Lawson, Roy (Patricia) Lawson, all of Augusta; three daughters, Annie (Wade, Sr.) Carthen, Jeanette (Jerry, Sr.) Harper, Cathy (Marion, Sr.) Beasley; two sisters, Bessie Tanksley, Freddie Mae Lawson, Augusta; sixty grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren; a host of great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beulah Grove Baptist Church Building Fund and the B.I. Vernon Young Adult Choir, 1434 Popular St., Augusta, GA.
