MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, March 24, 2008 at his residence, Mr. James S. "Jimmy" Minor of Old Petersburg Road. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Macedonia Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Gregory M. Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Minor graduated from Phelps Vocational School and was a member of The Upper Room Baptist Church, Washington, DC. He was employed at the Pentagon as a Sheet Metal worker until his disability. After which, he relocated to Georgia. He leaves many to cherish his memory: two sons, Anthony (Susan) Cooper and Marco Cooper, of Maryland; two daughters, Milani and Jamia Minor, of New Orleans; a loving and devoted mother, Ida M. Johnson, Augusta; three sisters, Paula (Lowell) Duckett, Evans, GA, Peggy Johnson, Marcell Johnson and Marcia Parker, all of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Mark (Joyce) Johnson, Lynchburg, VA; one very devoted aunt, Gertrude Jackson, Mitchellville, MD; one god brother, William Edmondson, of Maryland; one god son, Rico Grant, North Augusta, SC; special cousin, James Porter, of Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
