Intelligence Analyst Dayton, OH - Cawthon, Douglas Stephen, 33, devoted husband and loving father, entered into rest Friday, March 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Cawthon, his children, Lauren, Aislin, and Jack Cawthon, all of Miamisburg, OH; his parents, Ron and Monique Cawthon of Evans, GA, and Peggy and Jerry Pruitt of Augusta, GA; brothers Jeremy Cawthon of Augusta, GA, Scott (Krista) Pruitt of Plano, TX, Zack Van Ginkel of Las Vegas, NV, Nate Van Ginkel of Evans, GA; and sisters Heather Pruitt of High Point, NC, and Hannah Pruitt of Blairsville, GA. Additional survivors are his paternal grandfather Hal Beman, Jr. and his maternal grandmother Gladys Cawthon; uncles Steve Cawthon (Neva) of Augusta, GA, Keith Cawthon (Cindy) of N. Augusta, SC, Hal Beman, III (Mary Donna), aunt Alice Cawley (Chris), both of Augusta, and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Caitlyn Cawthon, his grandmother, Betty Beman, and his grandfather, Jack Cawthon. Doug was born in San Diego, CA on March 22, 1974 and raised in Martinez, GA. He graduated from Evans High School and was attending Walden University in Dayton, OH. He was a proud US Air Force Veteran who survived the September 11th attack on the Pentagon. He worked at General Dynamics as an Intelligence Analyst in Dayton. He attended Washington Heights Baptist Church in Kettering, OH. The family received friends at the Tobias Funeral Home, Dayton, Ohio, on March 28th. There will be a private memorial service in Augusta at a later date.
