AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Edna Rearden Hearn, 91, entered into rest Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Heartland Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Thomas W. Rearden and Maggie Sue Carpenter Rearden. Mrs. Hearn was a native of Hephzibah and a life long resident of Augusta. Edna made many dear friends during her working years, which include: Augusta Arsenal during World War II, where she was the supervisor of domestic and POE packing department of small arms. After the war, she worked for 35 years for McKesson & Robbins Wholesale Drug Company, where she held a number of positions and finally retired as inventory manager. She was a member of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Family members include her son: Vernon T. Hearn of Newton, NC; grandchildren: Bradley T. Hearn of Hickory, NC, Natasha K. (Mark) Shook of Pinehurst, NC niece: Toni Hodo Jenkins of Martinez; great niece: Debbie (David) Banks of Martinez, great niece: Wendi (Clay) Davis of Evans; niece: Marlene Edwards of Peachtree City, GA; great nephew: Kerry (Deborah) Edwards and Jacob, Kayla and David of Cumming, GA; great nephew: Vince (Darla) Edwards and Blake and Emily of Suwanee, GA; great niece: Donna (Joe) Lee and Taylor, Sydney and Abby of Alpharetta, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Four special children added so much to the fullness of her life, great great nieces and nephews that she considered her great grandchildren: Mitchel and Morgan Banks, Matt and Sydney Davis. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 12:15 P.M. at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Rev. Michael Lubinsky celebrant. Pallbearers will be Bradley Hearn, David Banks, Clay Davis, Kerry Edwards, Vince Edwards and Wayne Jenkins. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
