Boyfriend shoots woman in hip
Police say a 24-year-old Aiken woman was shot by her boyfriend Friday morning when she walked into their bedroom.
Algeron Isaac, 25, shot his girlfriend in the hip with a .45-caliber handgun at their apartment on University Parkway, according to a news release from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. The incident happened about 2:30 a.m. Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt said in a statement that investigators were trying to determine whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
"Mr. Isaac was intoxicated, so we're getting conflicting information," he said. The victim was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where she was treated and released. Mr. Isaac has not been arrested.

For no more than the above going on across the area I think the police department budgets could be significantly reduced. Please tell me there's more in the real newspaper!
Nice boyfriend.......said with much sarcasm..
Let me get this straight. She was shot in the hip with a 45 caliber and was treated and released on the same day? It seems to me she would have been in the hospital longer than that if he had missed!
I, agree tomd for the second largest city in GA. our newspaper is sorry. I guess those traffic stoppers on sunday just aren't making billy enough dough.
How did the remodeling of the Washington Rd Kroger become the closing of the Deans Bridge Rd Kroger? Someone at the AC must have written that article in their sleep. Where did the article go and where is the correction? Kroger phone lines were flooded because of a negligent "reporter". This reporter must have transfered from the "National Inquirer". No facts, just publish.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh Masters is coming up. Don't want to air Augusta's dirty laundry.
I'm just glad it's still open. There are so many people that depend on that Kroger, including several of my family members. I'd hate to see it go.
