NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Nelle Burnette Ford, 86, wife of the late Theron Daniel Ford, Sr., entered into rest Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 22, 2008 at First Baptist Church of North Augusta with Dr. James M. Ford and Rev Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Born May 14, 1921 Mrs. Ford was a lifelong resident of North Augusta. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she was a Sunday School teacher for over forty years. She was also a member of Sheffield Club, Senior Friends and the Velma Campbell Sunday School Class. Survivors include three sons Theron D. Ford, Jr. (Becky), Matthews, NC, Dr. James M. Ford (Brooks), Martinez, GA and C. Wayne Ford (Tricia), North Augusta; a daughter Kaye Ford Bathe (Steve), Anderson, SC; five grandchildren, Kris Ford, Klint Ford, Kelly Ford, Dawn Deal and Michael Ford and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kris Ford, Klint Ford, Michael Ford, Steve Bathe, Chris O'Kelley and Gregg Nantz. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Sheffield Club, Velma Campbell Sunday School Class and her caregivers. The family will be at the home of Dr. & Mrs. James M. Ford, 777 West Port Court Martinez, GA and will receive friends at Rowland Funeral Home this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Augusta Rescue Mission 526 Walker St. Augusta, Ga. 30901 or Community Ministries of North Augusta 646 E.
