HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Deborah Goodwin, of Bradford Court, entered into rest on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hill, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Mrs. Goodwin, a native of Augusta, attended Lucy Laney High School and received her CNA certification from McAll Business College. She was employed as an Assistant Care Coordinator at Knob Hill Assisted Living Center. At Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, she was a member of the 2005/2006 Soul Winning Society Circle Discipleship I and II and the February Birth Month Club. Survivors are her husband, James Goodwin, Sr.; two sons, James (Okeyma) Goodwin, Jr., Dion (Chauntilena Satoshia) Goodwin, Sr., Augusta; one daughter, Jennifer Goodwin, Hephzibah; five grandchildren, Javante, Khadijah, Dion, Jr., Ayanna, and Deznee Goodwin; mother-in-law, Susie Goodwin, Augusta; sisters-in-law, Emma Burroughs, Susan (Arthur) Melson, Betty (Jessie) Mobley, Jacqueline (Frank) Gossip; devoted aunt, Connie Childs; grandmother- in-law, Georgia Griffin; great aunts, Willie Mae Brown, Geneva Devine, Lula Mae (John) Simpson, Carrie Bell Thomas, Milbra Goodwin; great uncle, John (Yvonne) Cook; and other relatives.
