ATHENS, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Garner Wilder, age 38, of Athens, will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Warrenton, with the Rev. Dr. Melvin Ivey, Eulogist. Interment, Sandy Grove A.M.E. Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state beginning at 12 noon. The funeral procession will leave the home of his parents, 110 Silverside Dr., Warrenton, at 12:30. Repast, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall. Survivors are wife, Sharron Tucker Wilder, Athens; children, Javious Tucker, Athens, Letecia Davis, Milledgeville, Jasmin Annie Laura Wilder, Athens, Ashley Wilder, Athens, and Xavius Davis, Milledgeville; parents, J.T. (Cynthia) Williams, Warrenton, and Albert Kemp, Sparta; brothers, Ricco Williams, J.T. Williams, Jr., Eric Williams, all of Warrenton, and Troy McGahee, Sparta, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. ***In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Garner Wilder for his brother Eric Williams heart transplant to Georgia Transplant Foundation, 3125 Presidential Parkway, Suite 230, Atlanta, GA 30340.
