Brady was introduced as Arkansas State's new coach Wed-nesday, less than six weeks after being fired by Louisiana State University. He takes over a team that finished 10-20 this season and hasn't been to the NCAA Tournament since 1999.
"I think there's an opportunity to win here," Brady said. "I think there's an opportunity to win the conference tournament. I think there's an opportunity with the recruiting base here to get the kind of players that can do that in this league."

In Dayton, Ohio, Brian Roberts scored 21 points to lead the Flyers (22-10) to a first-round win.
Dayton -- which won the NIT in 1962 and 1968 -- will play the winner of Monday's game between llinois State and Utah State.
VIRGINIA TECH 94, MORGAN STATE 62
In Blacksburg, Va., A.D. Vassallo made 11 of 14 field goal tries and scored 27 points in 25 minutes as sharp-shooting Virginia Tech made easy work of Morgan State in the first round.
The Hokies (20-13) showed no letdown after feeling snubbed by the NCAA Tournament. They led by no fewer than 13 throughout the second half and advanced to a meeting with UAB.
UAB 80, VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH 77
In Richmond, Va., Reggie Huffman had 21 points, including a game-saving layup with 5.6 seconds left, as UAB (23-10) took a commanding second-half lead and held on in a first-round game.
The Blazers (23-10) led 62-47 with 6:38 remaining after a layup by Lawrence Kinnard, but the Rams cut it to 66-59 with 3:23 to go. The Blazers rebuilt their lead to 11, but Joey Rodriguez's 3-pointer pulled the Rams to 75-73 with 38.7 seconds left.
UAB converted only 8 of 14 free throws in the last 66 seconds, and Jamal Shuler's 3-pointer -- a desperate, twisting leaner from the left corner -- pulled VCU (24-8) to within 78-77 with 9 seconds left.
On the inbounds play, however, the Rams pressed and Huffman slipped downcourt, where Aaron Johnson hit him with a baseball pass and he went in for an easy layup.
Eric Maynor missed a 3-pointer for VCU (24-8) just before the buzzer. He led the Rams with 22 points.
MISSISSIPPI 83, UC SANTA BARBARA 68
In Oxford, Miss., Dwayne Curtis had 17 points and 16 rebounds in Mississippi's victory.
Chris Warren had all 16 points of his points in the second half for the Rebels (22-10). David Huertas had 15 points for Ole Miss and Kenny Williams added 13.

BRADLEY 70, CINCINNATI 67
In Peoria, Ill., Jeremy Crouch scored 20 points to lead Bradley in an opening-round game.
Theron Wilson added 15 for Bradley (18-15), which hadn't played for 12 days before Wednesday.
Deonta Vaughn led Cincinnati with 23 points. John Williamson added 14 points for the Bearcats.
