AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Gertrud "Trudy" Hockman, 72, of Pointe West Drive, Augusta, GA, who entered into rest March 16, 2008, will be celebrated Thursday morning at ten o'clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father Tim Lijewski celebrant. Final Prayers and Commendation in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hockman was a native of Germany having made Augusta her home for the past 45 years. She was of the Catholic faith, a member of the German-American Club and a former Red Cross volunteer. Survivors include her husband, Lucien Jay Hockman; a daughter, Jacqueline Turlington Moore, Evans; three-stepsons, L.J. Hockman, Jr., Jacksonville, FL, Robert Hockman, Evans, Michael W. Hockman, North Augusta; two grandchildren, Sage Moore and Cody Moore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening from 5 to 7.
