BARNWELL, S.C. - Lucille Keel Childress entered heaven at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the Barnwell County Nursing Home. She was born to the late James Robert Keel, Sr. and Leila Hair Keel on March 25, 1913. She was the wife of the late Richard Furman Childress. Mrs. Childress was a member of the First Baptist Church. For many years she was employed at the Sun Dial on Main Street. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., on Thursday March 20 at the First Baptist Church of Barnwell. Burial will be at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery (airport). Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19 at Mole Funeral Home from 6 -8 p.m. She is survived by one sister, Mattie Lou (Jim) Dyches of Barnwell and two brothers, Murray (Willise) Keel and Jack (Mary) Keel, both of Barnwell; three grandchildren, Ricky Childress of Swansea, and Scott Childress and Robin Childress of Barnwell; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Bobby Richard Childress; three sisters, Myrtle Goodwin, Mildred and Roberta Keel; two brothers, James "Robert" Keel, Jr., and Cecil Keel.
