So now you need someone to blame for this???? Pick anyone in POLITICS!
Today we see the rising price of gasoline, but what we have missed is why it is rising.
We are told that gasoline costs more because of the increased cost of oil, or that this refinery or the other refinery is down. The cost of this crude on the market is still the same in British pounds, euros or Japanese yen. The value of our currency is crashing while gold, oil, other commodities and other foreign currencies remain the same.

Ok Mike.......uh.........I fail to see your point or arguement here? We know this already. LOL.
Must have been a slow day for LTE at AC today.
"Gas costs more" partly because the war in Irag has impeded oil outflow as a result of an inabilty of the three religious factions there to agree on division of profits. Actually, western Irag has huge untapped reserves that are close to the surface and rival in size those in Saudi Arabia. However, getting to those deposits is difficult because of war related logistical and political problems. Hopefully we can get this war behind us and get oil output from Irag back to its full potential. Then we may see some relief at the pump. Ironically, if the war in Irag was "all about oil" (Alan Greenspan), the plan to get it sure did backfire!
Yes Mr Ferguson, and water is wet, the day is long, death and taxes are certain, and M&Ms melt in your mouth, not in your hand.
Brilliant deduction, Mike. Oh yeah, supply and demand...
The dems said they would solve this and other problems when they controlled congress. It's 2 years later and it's worse.
Want lower gas prices? Tap into ANWR. Say to hell with the enviromentalists and start importing more oil from the Alberta Tar Sands. Build more refineries. Stop exporting our oil. We have the demand, and OPEC knows it. Just one problem, China has a larger demand and it's increasing exponentially.
That's what the government WANTS you to think hypertension! Its all some sort of whacked out conspiracy!
At some point folks might consider the obvious - drill for more oil and build new refineries - supply will go up - price will go down.
