Walter B. Campbell (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Walter B. Campbell, 70, wife of Mrs. Cealy W. Campbell entered into rest Saturday, March 15, 2008 in the VA Hospital, Augusta. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 1:00PM at the Grove First Baptist Church, Grovetown, GA with the Reverend Frank Thigpen officiating. Mr. Campbell was a native of Huntsville, AL and a resident of Grovetown. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Campbell served as a Chaplain of the Grovetown Police Department and worked in the Grovetown Public Safety Reserve Office. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Cealy Campbell; three sons, Jerry (Jackie) Campbell, Harlem, Terry (Tonya) Campbell, Missouri and William (Mona) Campbell, Havelock, NC; one daughter, Lisa C. Wright, Groveton; two brothers, Kenneth Campbell, Decatur, AL and Bill Campbell of CA; two sisters, Frances Brooks, TN and Trudy Smith, AZ. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grove First Baptist Church, 702 Robinson Ave., Grovetown, GA 30814.
