Rants and raves

Comments from our readers:

COLUMBIA COUNTY schools need to acknowledge that they have gang-related students in their schools. Pay attention to the colors, please.

A RAVE TO ALL of the staff at Doctors Hospital, clinical and nonclinical. Everyone has been so wonderful and compassionate.

I APPLAUD the Burnettown police for speed limits. Maybe, just maybe, the idiots who drive who have no common sense will get enough tickets they will slow down.

A RANT FOR THE CITY of Aiken and the Battle of Aiken organizers celebrating a battle and a war where thousands of countrymen shot and killed each other.

ANOTHER TRUCK WRECK on Highway 56 and Tobacco Road. When are they going to start slowing these big trucks down?

I LOVE THE PAPER! I can read it. I'm 73 years old and now I can read the print. So I am very grateful for that. But I still miss Judge Parker and the comics still need work.

A RAVE FOR THE people of the CSRA doing so much and being so unselfish about the sugar plant explosion.

A RANT FOR THE Charles Walker fans. We would rather have thugs like Charles Walker in jail rather than have MCG in Augusta.

TO THE PERSON WHO wrote about spending $70 to see the circus, they could go to the commissioner's meetings and see a three-ring circus for free!

A GIANT RANT to the Club 3000 for its commercial on Radio 1380 encouraging males to deceive their wives and girlfriends by telling them that their husbands and boyfriends are going to Wal-Mart when the males are really headed for the Club 3000. Any woman who considers herself more than a piece of meat should be appalled by such language.

BIG RAVE FOR Robin, who works in the bakery at Publix. I had to call her three times to get the cake right for my granddaughter's birthday. Each time she was just as nice as the first time.

WOULD COLUMBIA COUNTY please put our tax dollars to work and clean up all of the trash along our roads?
