Republican frontrunner hasn't a clue

If we elect Barack Obama, we might get Muhammad; if we elect Hillary Clinton, we'll definitely get Jezebel.

Thus, the least bad of three awful choices is the Manchurian candidate John McCain, and he's proving to not only be a member -- thus under the control of -- the Council on Foreign Relations, but an idiot as well.

He said we will "not go back" to a production society. He claims we're into the "info revolution." The United States became the world's only superpower by being productive, not by having information.

He also believes that mortgage contracts fall under federal authority, which they don't. He is so ignorant -- or again, being controlled by the real powers-that-be -- that we won't have any idea what he'll do if in office.

We are really in a pickle.

We became the world's super power through manufacturing and production, we have maintained that status by information superiority. Although we are entering a recession (if we have not arrived already), the US economy and the US people are vibrant and resourceful and will rebound from the downturn of this economic cycle and backlash of excessive consumerism (I am not bringing politics into this, but know I will be chastised by the brilliant and all-knowing Mr. Cain and his sidekick Jack, so take your shots gentlemen).

I'm hoping this country survives in spite of it's fascist, egocentric, and idiotic leaders. I hope I'm not being too optimistic.

Duderotomy

My goal is to elect those that will spend my tax dollars in this country. They ALL tax and spend - they (meaning us) don't know how to live within their means. Everyone wants something - I want to keep as much of the money I earn as possible. Other than defense and transportation infrastructure, the gov't should stay out of most ventures - they're just not good at other things. RJH - you're right - a downturn is the only way to identify an upturn!

patriciathomas

RJH, your simple and succinct comment is correct. The LTE was written by a frustrated product of government schooling who is easily tricked by headlines. Knowledge is accessible all over the internet. Being willing to seek it out will help a lot with both the frustration and ignorance.

Bizarro

That is true Patricia but you have to be careful of the reliability of some info on the internet, and have intelligence to interpret the info. I see many seek info to substantiate a biased opinion rather than having a neutral point of view and looking at all aspects of an issue to help form an educated opinion.

One way or another this great nation of ours will survive if we, Americans, will seek God, pray and stand together we will come through. This country is relatively young compared to the rest of the world. It has seen alot in it's short life but one thing stands out above all when we are threatened from within or without we suddenly stop bickering amongst ourselves and pull together with such a strength that shows everyone we will not be destroyed.

I want to comment on the article about senior citizens having too many tax breaks. This was obvioulsy written by some youngster who has not had enough of taxes as yet. The writer said that $10,000.00 was enough of a shcool tax break.....why should someone 65 or older still pay school tax is my question?
Take away all the "free" lunches and programs and the schools would have more money to use rather than over taxing property or using the perennial splost taxes.
I am betting that the writer will change his tune as he/she ages and pays more and more of their income in taxes. I have, and most everyone I know feels the same way too.

patriciathomas

Bizarro,You're right again. Seeking support for an opinion is fine for duels on this thread, but seeking information needs to be done with an eye to become intelligently informed. Caution is the key.

There is one error in some information around today. Research indicates the US actually produces more products than ever before. We have loss a ton of jobs to overseas but somewhere along the way we gained more. That is one reason Hillary talked against NAFTA in Ohio but not in Texas as Texas has got lots of jobs because of NAFTA. This info came from John Mauldin who is a "just the facts" kind of person who seeks economic truth. Pray for a good president and God can work it out. We haven't been attacked since 9-11 so someone out there is praying and making a difference. God has no concern over His ability to care for His children no matter who is president.

Republicant

I can tell you right now purvis, prayer has no bearing on the defense of our country. The terrorists pray also. Or did you all forget that?

RJH, you are already wrong when paring me with Cain. Elect either Obama or Hitler and have a DIMocRAT controlled Congress and you wil see this nation turned into another French type cocilist nanny state, totally devoid of personal initiative and accountability. John McCain was not my choice, as I supported the only true conservative that was running-Fred Thompson. Too bad he started late and was lazy to boot. Before I will put an anti-American such as Obama, or another slime ball Cliton in the WH (who will again turn it into a hotel six), I will hold my nose and vote for John McCain, who is exactly right on information superiority and the golbal economy that this country MUST be a part of to survive. Unions, who are full supporters of the DIMs and vice versa are the primary reason that jobs are moving outside the US. Why should a business pay ridiculous wages and fringe benefits that virtually bankrupt that business (GM, Ford come to mind).

Republicant, I have no concern over the terrorist's prayers being answered so I spend my time encouraging fellow Chrisitans to pray. My belief is that the Christians were the key to the past greatest of this country and are the key to the future. Knowing the source of power creates a wonderful peace.

Rose

All of your scare tactics won't work on me.Everyone has the right to make their own choices, and all the choices are not going to be the same. Obama is not Hitler, so give it a rest.

My apologies Jack for grouping you in with the Socialist Liberal Left who do not extend the tax cuts (thus raising taxes as a result) but say they oppose tax increases.

Former Augustan

Praying won't get you jack. It takes intelligence and action. McCain is a moron, just like his daddy Bush. The Republicans and evangelicals have ruined this country and put us in debt that we can't pay off in 50 years. This illegal war is ruining us even more, and I hope Obama keeps his promise to pull the US out of Iraq quickly. If you rednecks want to keep up the fight in Iraq, get your asses on a plane and go there. As for me, I want out -- out of Republican "leadership" and out of Iraq.

alden

Former Augsutan, if you want to talk about debt, let's talk about social security. And exactly who started that program?

alden

And who added people to it who had not paid into it? And who wants to add illegal aliens to it? And yes, while I'm being fair, who borrowed from it?

jack

Bizzaro, are you talking about Cain and his incessant cutting and pasting from sources that agree with his POV? He rarely (if ever) uses the NY Terrorist Times ever since they printed an article saying the surge was working.

fd1962, brushing my teeth with Cain ain't nearly as bad as what he told me about yours and his relationship.

Rose, Hitler was a mistype. I meant and still mean Hitlery. You know, the one with the illegal FBI files on her and BJ's hit list?

jack

Fromroscoe, the DIMs (and Republicans) saren't "borrowing" from SS. They are just plain stealing it. It was also the DIMs that decided to tax SS AGAIN up to 28 %(we already paid taxes on our income up front).

bullet40

Rose, how you like obama's back peddleing on his church which he has been a member for 20 years, got married there, etc, etc. Sounds as him and the rev were on the same sheet of music.

RichmondCountyResident1

Socialism, government schools, are these soundbites planted by Fox/False news, to their conservative parrots. You guy's would say or do anything, to ensure our country maintains an underpriviledged group. Jack after eight years of Republicans, anything is a step in the right direction. Hey Bullet40, just don't vote for Reverend Jeremiah Wright if you don't like what he said. There is nothing you or anyone can do or say to stop me from supporting Obama. Right on former Augustan.

alden

Don't I know, Jack. Even my extremely liberal father had a huge problem with that and blamed the democrats as well. I guess he must have realized______durn, he didn't have a clue as to what they would do with the program. I would love to be able to discuss with him what is going on now.

alden

RCR, no one is trying. I don't even turn my tv on anymore. I guess I should save the money I'm spending to have cable. Oh, by the way, exactly how do you feel about the preachings of Jeremiah Wright? Vote for Obama (once I hope), but how do you feel about JW who is in Obama's so called "kitchen cabinet?"

Rose

RichmondCountyResident you said it right at 3:56.

alden

Just curious, Rose, you have settled on Obama. Are you now steadfast or is there anything that might come out in the future which would change your mind? Anything that might come out in the news that would have some impact?
