In response to the "Just one more tweak" editorial (March 14), I must object to your objection.
I am a recently naturalized American, and I legally had a driver's license and Social Security card since 1986. I was, however, not allowed to vote. In fact, when I went to register to vote after receiving my citizenship, I was shocked that I did not have to prove citizenship. I only had to prove I lived here.
South Carolina is correct in how it is choosing to change the law.
