THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Cowins Hixson, 66, of Thomson, will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. F. D. Favors, Pastor, officiating. Interment, Sandy Grove A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Warrenton, GA. Survivors are: three daughters, Kim Steed of Conyers, GA, Yolanda (Dewayne) Sinkfield and Sylvia Hixson, all of Thomson, GA; two stepdaughters, Cheryl (Shawn) Lucas and June Lucas, all of Thomson, GA; two goddaughters, Renee (Nathaniel) Jones and Wanda Belton, all of Thomson, GA; one sister, Thelma (Leroy) Roberts of Thomson, GA; three brothers, Herman, Jr. (Joyce) Cowins, Roy Melvin (Catherine) Cowins, all of Thomson, GA, and Rev. Roy Milton (Betty) Cowins of Tulsa, OK; one aunt, Daisy (Wade) Howard of Decatur, GA; one uncle, James (Jessie) Rogers of Atlanta, GA; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
