AIKEN, S.C. - Memorial Services for Mr. Donald R. Hoefs, 68, of Columbia Highway, North, Aiken, SC, who entered into rest March 5, 2008, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home, Pastor Mark Canipe officiating. Mr. Hoefs was a native of Lake Worth, FL, a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a Baptist. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company in West Palm Beach, FL, was a member of Bykota Masonic Lodge #333, The Scottish Rite Bodies, Lake Worth, FL and was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 1969. Mr. Hoefs was the husband of the late Carol Hoefs. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Carla Hoefs, Beech Island, Steve & Dana Hoefs & Daniel Hoefs all of Barnwell and Christopher Kelly, West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Kathy Bell, Camden, SC and Lorie Kelly, West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, Floyd Hoefs, West Palm Beach, FL and Edward Hoefs, Blairsville, GA; nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. The family is at the residence of Jeff & Carla Hoefs, 336 Pine Log Road, Beech Island, SC.
